Is there any problems with that now? I got two boxes, one Montecristo and Cohiba. This are the small boxes, about the size of a cigarette pack.

Are these still banned or has that been lifted?

And here’s Italy Trip Thread #22.

To answer your question, it’ll be fine. I brought back Cubans from my trip to Havana and customs didn’t bat an eye.

Going for a record!!!

In my defense, I didn't mention Italy, you did.

In my defense, it’s gotten to the point where you don’t have to mention it.

Nepal.

If you ask as many questions there as you’ve asked here about Italy, you won’t be making the return flight home.

From the sound of it you shouldn't have any probs at all. Now if it were a couple of larger boxes the value might be getting up there high enough to "possibly" be an issue but still low risk unless the customs guy just wants to be a jerk. Their focus is really more on the larger quantity runners that are bringing them back to the states for resale rather than self consumption.

Keep in mind that Cuban cigars are not what they used to be. You can likely find a dominican or nicaraguan cigar at your local shop that is better.

It's the truth. There are still some very good cigars being made in Cuba. The vast majority of the best cigars in the world at this moment are being made in the Dominican and Nicaragua.
