Nowadays we just want to go to one spot and chill. Use it as homebase for some daytime excursions, but definitely not do 2 days here, 3 days there. Too much hassle. One of the reasons we enjoy cruises is they take you to different spots with the convenience of not having to pack all your crap and deal with the logistics of traveling. Just wake up in a different spot every day, easy-peasy.

It really just depends on the trip. First time trip to a region that has so many different areas I want to see I’m perfectly fine bouncing around. Next summer we’re going to Greece and I’ve never been. I feel like I’d be completely missing out if I just chose one spot in Greece to just kick back for a week. On a return trip I may be okay to pick my favorite place and do that though. I do agree that the packing/unpacking can be a pain in the arse but it’s worth it to me.

If I want a relaxing trip I prefer to stay in one place and not having to haul luggage and check in and out of places
I don't mind hopping around but when I do it's more like 2/3 nights in one place before moving around
