Best way/site to find a house for a weekend in Grand Isle?

Can I ask why you picked Grande Isle? Have you ever been before? Many other beaches that are better and not any further away. Not trying to be a dick just trying to help you out.

Cool, suggest away. I was just looking for something different. I went fishing out of Fourchon a few weeks ago, just thought I'd take the family down there and show them a different part of the state.

If you're looking for a beach vacation I personally don't find the beach at Grande Isle to be very attractive. But I fully support staying in state! If you're wanting to do that then Grande Isle is your best bet. LA is not known for it's beaches that's for sure.
