Flying into Tampa but don’t mind driving a couple hours. Family trip, prefer not crowded

The best as far as sand and water is concerned is Siesta Key, hands down. It’s a quiet area also.

Clearwater Beach is definitely more hotel/condo than house, but if it's a family trip, then your kids would probably like the marine aquarium.
