Thinking about flying up there and doing a driving trip around the area. Any suggestions on where to fly into and where to drive and things to see? Thanks in advance

Fly into rapid city. See Mt Rushmore, Custer state park, Wind Cave National Park, and the badlands. Skip Crazy Horse. Eat at black hills burger and bun company. Wall Drug is a tourist trap, but worth the stop to say you’ve been there. Don’t call the bison buffalo.

That guy knows what he is talking about. Definitely see Mt. Rushmore and check out the on site museum. Thing was supposed to go to the ground and have the rest of their bodies. Also was supposed to have a giant escalator you could ride to the top and a Hall of Records cut into the mountain where the Constitution and Declaration would be stored. With giant steel doors that would slam shut and protect everything from nuclear war. Go hike up in the mountains. Super cool area.

Pro tip. Don’t try to get close to the Bison to take a selfie like the woman I saw almost get killed last time. We kept telling her not to walk out in the field and she wouldn’t listen.

I spent a few months doing exploratory drilling on a native american reservation in the badlands. Every day was a blessing to watch the wildlife during our breaks. Then the DAPL protests started and I gtfo.
