Atlantis Bahamas water park

My family and I will be here Friday, April 26. Anyone been to this water park when there are four or more cruise ships docked? We have not purchased day passes yet because it looks like rain, but we are wondering if it is worth the money if it is going to be over-crowded. Thanks in advance....

Stayed there once. Water park isn't really worth the price of admission when it's not crowded. This was 15 or so years ago though, so maybe they've added stuff to it since then.

I was going to type that there has to be something better to do...until I pulled up a satellite view of that place, holy shite. I’d take a cab to the Poop Deck and hang out...eating stone crab, and conch, and grouper...until I had to go back. Sushi joint a block away as well.

That cruise port sucks. We normally just get off to shop and/or eat and drink

Chance of rain there everyday. It won’t last long if it even does.

Water park is awesome for kids. We stayed there for a week and mine loved it. If it's just adults, I'd skip it. It wouldn't be worth the cost.
If you have the time to fit in a food tour with Tru Bahamamian Food Tours, I would HIGHLY recommend it. Otherwise, get a lift over to Greycliff, have some wine, see the cigar making, and tour the chocolate factory.
Then slowly walk back towards the port. Get some conch fritters from Bahamian Cooking grill, get a drink and some food at Athena (Greek food...no shite!), and find somewhere to have Rum cake for dessert.
The food tour would bring you to all of these places, plus others.
ETA: Everything on Paradise Island is crazy expensive! The park, shops, restaurants, everything. Unless you're going to Atlantis for the water park, avoid it!

Best water park we’ve ever been to. The lazy river is probably a mile long. It’s packed. Get there early to ride the water slides, and to grab a chair.
