This is my top bucket list so want to make sure I do it right. I'm a solo traveler. I'm looking at some hiking tour companies vs. renting my own car/accomodations to do my own thing. Not sure how safe solo hiking is there. I'm just reluctant to go with a company if I'm going to be in some beat up 15 passenger can bumping down the road stuffed in there with 14 others.
I'd love to hear some feedback on your experience if you've been. I really want to take in some epic hikes.

Sounds like a great trip. I don’t have experience doing it, but I’m interested in responses.

Via Ferrata

Wow; I had no idea such a thing was available without being an experienced rock climber. Thanks!

The wife and I did Via in Banff years ago and this year in Estes Park. It’s legit. No experience needed. Just don’t be afraid of heights. The experience is unbeatable.

ETA, if you do the full day in Banff. You will get to experience the view in the pic I sent.

Also check out hiking near Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.
