I need a one way flight from Orlando to Charlotte on June 14, sort of last minute. Skiplagged has them for around $85, but the flight then leaves for another destination.

If you fly the airline a lot I'd think twice, if not, you're fine booking it that way.

Airlines are very aware of this practice and will take measures if you abuse it enough. If you don't, then you won't be noticed.

Probably a one-time deal. I am going to Disney with my wife's family - driving from SC, and just found out that I need to be back for a work related event on Thursday, June 14. Figured a cheap, one way flight would be better than renting a car.

The app just asks you a ton of questions before you purchase, so it threw me off a little bit.

Thanks for the info.

Skiplagged is legit but you can just book through the airline directly.

This.

I never book airline tickets through a 3rd party.

The flight was $90 thru Skiplagged, but $274 thru American unless I completely looked at that wrong.

You can still book it, you just have to book the Skiplagged route (which is to some other destination with a stop in Charlotte). Connections in Charlotte are often much cheaper than full stop in Charlotte. Happens all the time MSY-CLT.

Nope, just my backpack. My luggage will be coming back in a vehicle.
