Any good non-beach summer family vacation ideas?

Never taken the kids, but there were a lot of people with young kids at Estes Park/RMNP a few years ago when my wife and I went in July. There's some easier hikes that would be no problem for you to throw them on your shoulders and finish if necessary.
I'm sure this will be a popular answer and have no idea what Estes is like post fires and during Covid.

Estes should be great, the fires didn’t impact it too badly and you’re able to be outside so I don’t imagine COVID restrictions will really hurt the trip.
