Have 8 days in the middle of February. Looking to do something romantic and relaxing. Thinking about a beach trip or wine country. Any advice/experience on places to go during that time that won't be too cold

Wine country will be miserable. Head down to Isla Holbox or Isla Mujeres. They are both small islands and are what I consider the perfect and get away for a couple for one week. Although you may not want to leave after one week

An average high of 83 and a low of 67? That's a little chilly for a beach vacation. I think I'd go further south than Isla Mujeres.

I went to Barbados in February two years ago and had a great beach vacation, plus there are a lot of other interesting things to do there. The Hilton and Radisson are on a great stretch of beach and not that far from Bridgetown -- it's a 15-minute walk into town, but there are lots of busses and taxis.

wine country.

You thinking Cali because you could look at somewhere like Argentina? Or southern Italy. Otherwise as said it may be cold. But you could still certainly do it.

I'm going to Argentina this February and went to Chile two years ago that month. It's their late summer and fantastic, and Argentina is so, so cheap right now with their exchange rate.

If you're flying from MSY, you can get to Argentina's wine capital, Mendoza, on Copa Airlines with just one connection in Panama.

What kind of flight costs are you seeing? I've had some flight trackers set and I can't get there for under $900.

This is also a really great idea.

If you don't mind the long flight, I'd say Kauai or Maui.
