Has anyone been to the Amazon beach party? They have a day pass that covers food and drink from 11:00 to 6:00? If yes, how was it?

Sorry, I have nothing. The only thing I'll add is that Playa Norte is so nice and so damned convenient that we've never felt the need to go elsewhere. And it's free.

We stopped in for about an hour and had lunch and a drink on our way to the south end. We also walked along the beach there for a bit as there are some other day clubs nearby. The bar, restaurant and facilities are nice, but the beach pales in comparison to Playa Norte.
I would never consider going there for the full day versus hanging out at Playa Norte.
Again though, stopping in for an hour and relaxing on their beach while having a drink and some guac / ceviche was nice.

If we basically spent the day there and had lunch, dinner, and drinks covered for 80 dollars for 2, then sounds like a good deal. It is on the north side as well. We did get reservations at Secreto, so we will have plenty of time on North Beach.

Are we talking about the same place? I was referring to Amazona Beach Club located south of El Centro and on the road that leads past Burracho Burro, The Joint, and to Punta Sur.

Yes, I believe that is the one. I read something that said it was on the north end.

Not even close. It's on the southwest side of the island.
ETA: It's not a long ride but you'll have to taxi or rent a golf cart for the day. Secreto will arrange the golf cart. They can also arrange any excursion if you'd like.
Here's what I'd do. Rent a golf cart and drive down to Punta Sur in the morning. There are trails that go down the cliffs that you can walk. Then hit The Joint for breakfast mojitos and food. You can then drive up the road on the west side of the island and stop at Soggy Peso on the way. Be forewarned, the margaritas are very strong. One will probably do. They also put out a nice plate of food.
For dinner one night take a taxi to Basto's. Order the arrachera steak and thank me later. It's fantastic and cheap. Basto's is closed on Thursday.

This^^^^we actually didn't plan to go to Punta Sur but it was highly recommended at the hotel so we went Sunday morning early....definitely one of the best parts of the trip.
BTW VA, I asked for your input a couple of weeks ago re: Secreto. Well, I arrived on Friday @ noon and returned to New Orleans on Monday afternoon.....a great first trip to the island to say the least. Scott and Angel at Secreto are first class and were very helpful.
Thanks again

Looks nice in the photos but havent heard of it until now.
May be worth checking out...it may be a spot targeted for Cancun day trippers. Seems chill.

Looks like it's very close to the water park, right? Playa Garrafon.

My pleasure. So glad you enjoyed it.

It does. There’s also that place I see advertised where you can take shots of vodka in a big freezer and you put on some fake mink coat
