Airplane cancel because of surgery

Trip is 8 days away but I might need surgery. Do airlines (southwest) give you credit or refund if you cancel the flight.

SWA is pretty good about giving flexible credit. They’re going to be more helpful than just about any other airline.

Yes, regardless of the fare you purchased you can get a flight credit the expiration of the credit depends on the fare you bought.
