The family is moving to Dallas next week and we need a place to stay for a couple of months until a longer-term housing situation comes available in late August/September.

We had something booked but it fell through on Monday. Since then I've been scrambling to find another solution. I contacted a Host regarding a house that's available and we were having discussions about whether or not they'd allow dogs for this extended stay.

I answered their last question and haven't heard anything from them in over a day. It's time for us to pull the trigger, but I don't want to book their spot without confirmation on the dogs. Is there any way to reach out to them aside from the App Chat? Or is there any other advice you can give on how to elicit a response?

I've subsequently messaged them to let them know we are close to making a decision but again, crickets.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would start looking for alternatives at this point.

Need to move on. Look at some of the long-stay hotel options, they usually allow dogs.

How long are you talking and have you looked at temporary solutions to board your dog? Maybe with friends or family until you find a more permanent place? Short term rental (1-6 months) with a pet is tough.

You could board your dog with a trainer and get some good training in while you are in housing limbo.
