I just got an email that said my AT&T TV Now service will go up to $65/month. frick that I'm switching.

Which is better, YouTube TV or Hulu?

Mostly just watch sports, some kids shows, and news channels.

which kids shows? because I know Hulu does not have nickelodeon channels and I'm pretty sure youtubeTV doesn't either.

They mostly watch Nick Jr. That's the only reason I had AT&T. But my kids also watch Amazon Prime, so they can stick with that until we get Disney +

Ok I've had both and it's kind of a complicated answer. For me, I broke it down to the following questions:
1) Do you need AMC? If so, YouTube TV wins.
2) If not, do you already pay for a Hulu plan? If yes, then $$ savings heavily favors Hulu with live TV.
3) Do you watch TV shows well after they've aired? If yes, then Hulu is still favored as the no commercial plan is God for us. We have 2 kids so time is of the highest priority. I ain't got time for no 'mercials man.

So we use Hulu with live TV in our house. However, some people hate the interface. We've gotten used to it and even my 5 and 3 year old can maneuver around in it. Some people MUCH prefer the menu and layout of Youtube TV though so it's going to be personal preference here.

Both should have a free trial so I'd give them a whirl for a good week or 2 each and see what checks the most boxes for you and your family.

I just swapped from Hulu to YouTube a couple of weeks ago
Have had Hulu for a couple of years and generally was happy with it. The interface really want that big of a deal. But the 6-8 months it had gotten progressively worse for me with either buffering or going down entirely. Deal breaker for me was it going out on the last play of first half of uga Notre Dame game lol. I signed up for YouTube trial during halftime and haven't looked back. Better picture. Unlimited DVR. And after all the options I had with Hulu you tube is about 15 a month cheaper

When I saw the guide I immediately liked it better as well

YouTube TV has the best interface of them all imo.

That said, a quality IPTV service can't be beat.

YouTube TV

Tons of sports networks and I've never had a buffering issue. Also tons of kids networks like Disney and free-form. No nickelodeon, but PBS and PBS kids are coming in November.

Every news channel you'll need too. And even better, you can customize your channel lineup to hide CNN, msnbc, etc.

I like this. My custom Guide has all of my sports channels at the top.

It also does a great job and learning your watching habits and putting what it thinks you want to watch front and center in the home screen of YoutubeTV

It a great feature. That’s what I did with Fox News and other channels that I am not interested in ever watching.

I have hulu live but have had both. If you are into just sports YouTube live better but hulu has the better overall channel selection especially for kids and educational channels. Neither has Nick channels but both offer cartoon network, Disney and hulu offers boomerang where youtube does not. Hulu also has history channel youtube does not. Another thing you may want to consider is how many people will be watching the service at any one time. Hulu only offers 2 screens watching at the same time while you tube offers 3. For 10 bucks more you get unlimited I believe on hulu but it is 10$ more for that. I like both but settled on hulu because of the original shows hulu offered and the better overall channel lineup but you may like youtube more. I do agree interface is better with youtube though.

I received an email this morning that my AT&T TV Now is going up to $60. I'm sort of torn about leaving them. I was with them from the beginning and am grandfathered in with the Go Big package that they no longer offer. I am considering YouTube TV or Hulu as well. The biggest deal breaker for me is YouTube not offering the History Channel. Hulu doesn't offer the Hallmark channel but that's my wife's problem. Lol. Someone informed me today that with Hulu, you are limited to watching it on your home tv only. I like the fact that I can log into AT&T Now from anywhere.

The only reason I ditched Hulu was because they didn't support 60 fps on my Android TV and 1st Gen Chromecast. Watching sports was awful on those two devices and I didn't feel like swapping out streaming devices (Fire TV sucks).

So I switched to YouTube TV and I haven't looked back. The picture quality is better, interface is better (but still not great) and the DVR is unlimited. The fact that I can share my account without giving away my password within the family is also sweet. Can't do that with Hulu (as far as I knew). The Live TV on Hulu was also anywhere from 50-70 seconds behind live action while YTTV is only 25-35 behind (which kind of matters for live sports).

Personally, I think it's worth the extra $5 bucks.

This shouldn't even be a question....like asking who would you rather bang, Rosanne or Mila Kunis

YouTube TV is the GOAT

I was with Hulu (no ads) for the last year or so. Honestly, not many complaints at all. Others have complained about stability and buffering issues that I had not experienced. I decided to give the YouTube TV trial a shot last week and decided to make the switch permanently.

My main reason for switching was primarily interface and user-friendliness. Being able to customize the guide on YouTube TV is a nice touch. The majority of the channels are what and what so that wasn't a factor. YouTube TV does have MLB Network and NBA TV for no added cost. I've only been using YouTube TV for about a week or so, but have yet to experience any sort of buffering or connectivity issues.

Edit: Not sure if you or your family use the mobile apps, but the YouTube TV app is far superior in my experience to the Hulu app.

If you're not on IPTV in 2019, then you're probably still using a flip phone.

If you like NFL Network or NFL Redzone go with PS VUE. Hulu and Youtube don't have either channel.
