I just did Orbi in our house. Easy.

I suspect all the big ones are pretty good options.

Does it seem faster?
I have ATT's Router/Wifi thingy and I get about 400 mbps on my 5ghz channel with the 1000mbps internet. I'm wondering if the Orbi can give me faster speeds with also giving me better coverage?

I have like 50 down so I probably can't give you much insight, but I will say my speed tests are pretty much max all over the house and it wasn't really that way before.

Would love for the Orbi or Velop to come down in price some. I'm about to spend over 11k in schooling for the kids in a month so can't really rationalize spending 300-400$ on a goddamn router.

Check out any of the mesh systems. I have Netgear Orbi and have been really impressed by the signal strength in a 2300 sqft.

For those with the AT&T wifi/router combo, did you have to disable the router part of the unit that comes from AT&T? Is that even possible? Should I upgrade modems?

i can't remember for certain, but i think i just disabled the wireless on the ATT combo.

i believe the ATT router still handles the routing, and the orbi is mainly a network of access points

if i remember right, the orbi app made it all very easy to setup, with simple instructions

Great. Thanks! I think I'm going to go with Orbi.
