Anyone have any updates on 11 ? I have it available to download but assuming I should wait longer for them to get bugs out ?

Installed a couple of days ago. Haven't run into any issues, and I've run Time Spy, CinebenchR23, and Port Royal looking for sags from previous test runs. It's going to take a while to get used to taskbar icons being in the middle, but I'm sure I'll get over it. With that said, I'd like to slap the person who decided that the shut down options would no longer be stacked immediately above the start icon, and is now on the opposite side of the window. That's just stupid.

You've got to have a TPM chip (most modern processors have fTPM if you don't have a dedicated chip).

Second, you must have secure boot turned on.

Both can be done in your BIOS/UEFI.

More on TPM ...

"Using TPM to enforce anti-cheating provisions is an interesting idea, but it could come with some significant downsides for user privacy and anonymity. Riot can do more than ban a user’s account or IP address. It can ban the actual, physical PC. Each TPM has a burned-in RSA key that cannot be changed. Ban the RSA key, and you ban the entire machine. Thanks for sharing this.
Had no plans to upgrade; if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
But this suggests that I should build my next PC while Windows 10 licenses are still available.
I have been putting off for 2 years due ridiculous video card prices.

I upgraded my laptop and its ok. The start menu is different and you have to click more to get to certain things when you right click. A pain. We'll see long term data if this OS runs smoother.

Yep, but Microsoft will likely force people to Windows 11 in a couple of years with limited updates much like they did Windows 7.

I'll be slowly transitioning to Linux dual boot where I use Windows in situations where I have no other option - like some financial software. IF those financial products were available on Apple, I would transition to using Apple too, but that may not ever happen.

If you look at end of cycle for certain Microsoft desktop products, it appears that Microsoft is targeting 2024 for significant change. That may be the year I don't use Microsoft products anymore.
