Router's upstairs in the home office. Signal downstairs isn't that bad, but we'd like to boost it.

Which ones do you like best? Thanks.

We had the exact scenario.
Router upstairs in office but have a streaming 4K tv downstairs and also need to stream in a downstairs guest room.

Got the below extender and it’s worked like a charm. Cheap too.

Note: I believe “extenders” and “boosters” are different but not sure.

Just installed a Ubiquiti access point. It is a simple set up with their app. I set it up as stand alone. Has both 2.4 and 5G bands on it. My router was upstairs where I was working but wife needed better WiFi where she takes her zoom calls for work. I moved the router down to the basement and wired in the TVs and computers then set the access point below our bedroom. They’re around $80 and it has a stronger signal than my router.

I had the same one upstairs for a few years. Worked ok, but I was losing speed. 100Mps downstairs & in basement, 20-25 upstairs.

Purchased a TP-Link Deco Mesh system in March and now I'm 100Mps+ all over.

Not that it helps the OP, but I just hard wired our old Router as a remote access point to the basement entertainment system (Firecube, TV and Sat Box/DVR). It rebroadcasts our wifi signal as well. Wasn't that hard overall, but took me about 3 or 4 times in the old router's setup (because I'm a knucklehead). WiFi is fast and convenient, but for pure speed you can't beat a hardwired connection.
