People are waiting for AMD cards and CPU’s as well

AMD made up the gap, they both perform extremely well. It just depends on your use and free cash which way you want to go.

People are waiting because the new model of doing business is to release something awesome but have no product for people to buy. So Worldwide they'll make 1000 or so and the AI bots will buy them all up within SECONDS of it being released. Then they'll be sold for 2x on all the auction sites, etc.

It's the dumbest thing ever that pretty much started when the bitcoin mining crap got into real money. They can all die in a fire as far as I'm concerned. What good is any tech if you can't make but a few thousand? We've had whole new card lines before we ever even saw any availability of the previous line.

The new ps5 might be available on a shelf sometime for NEXT Christmas.

They are very, very good cards, but it's not going to change your life. If you have a card that's basically doing what you need it to do, just wait. If you're in the middle of a build and the only thing you're waiting on is a gpu, just hit alerts for drops on BestBuy. While I normally wouldn't shill for them, and their system is imperfect, because of their automated queue system, it's impossible for the bots to immediately eat them all. Might also mean that you get screwed over, but you have a shot. That's how I picked up a 3070 FE to hold me over either until the 3080 Supers, or possibly, just the next gen (I was one of the poor souls doing a new build and waiting for a gpu...).
