My teenage nephew wants a drone for Christmas. I don't want to buy him a piece of junk, but I don't want to get something expensive as his first drone.

Looking on Amazon there are tons of drones from companies I've never heard of. I'd like to spend less than $100... the lesser the better. I've got a Snaptain S5C in my cart right now for $60. Is this an ok drone for the money? Anything else I should look at?

You'd prolly do better looking on reddit at a drone subreddit. Google is your friend in this case.

Google something like "reddit: best budget drone 2020"

i bought my son a $100 dollar drone two years ago and it was hot garbage. it was the #1 rated on on amazon that year. we never could get it to fly correctly and due to that every time we tried it would crash and break. it currently has tooth picks for landing gears and etc. if you are serious about a drone, do as the poster suggested above and do some research.

I would not buy a drone under $100.... they are all trash... see if you can find a DJI Spark on eBay...

I bought my dad a cheap Amazon drone a few years ago...it sucked so I just bought him a Spark...
