What's a good app that can automate the video editing process?

I want to take a bunch of short clips and photos from vacations I've taken into a 5 minute long video with background music.
I was hoping to just upload a bunch of videos and photos and it would automate the editing process for me.

I use descript for my wife's podcasts. Should work for you.

The free video editor on Win 11 does this. I think it’s hidden in the photos app.

I've used iMovie and it does the trick.
"iMovie is a free video editing app from Apple that allows users to create professional-looking videos without any video editing experience. It's available for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad."

I’ve played around with a few apps for videos like that, Vacay recaps and birthday montages mostly. iMovie was pretty handy for quick edits, especially if you're using an iPhone. It lets you just toss clips and pics in, choose a theme, and it puts everything together with music and transitions. But sometimes I’ve found the automated edits can feel a bit repetitive or too generic if you want something more creative.
For more polished stuff, like anniversary videos or anything you might want to keep long-term, I’ve started working with an Edmonton Videographer who actually builds custom videos out of raw clips and photos. It’s a more personal touch and doesn't break the bank either.
