What would the screen recording feature of iOS 11 be used for?

I have it in my control panel but what the hell do you actually use it for?

My dad isn’t exactly tech savvy, so when he needs help with his phone, I can just send him a step by step instruction video instead of trying to verbalize it over the phone.

I've used it to record video in social media apps (i.e. instagram) to send to friends/family who don't have an account. So it's come in handy once...definitely not a feature I have any regular use for
