I understand Kodi, it's a public, open source effort that became a non profit when it needed to raise money. But what about the file sharing sites that give it the content Kodi users access? This isn't peer to peer like torrents where the users carry the storage and bandwidth costs. There are a lot of files being streamed for "free". Why? Who is actually paying for this? Usually free storage and bandwidth is paid for with ads or selling users marketing profiles. What valuable marketing data can a site glean from someone using Kodi? An IP address, my streaming device type and the kind of movies I like? That just doesn't seem that valuable.

I've often wondered a lot of these things too. It seems like a lot of work, but they can't be doing it all for free....right?

I've always assumed that Kodi connects you to sites that host the content and use ads to pay for their expenses.

I've often tried to figure this out as well. There is just no way the advertising generates enough revenue to pay for all the storage and bandwidth required.

They are recording the times when you watch tranny porn and will eventually send you a message that your wife won't find out if you simply follow their instructions.

Plenty of people go straight to the source still so there is money to be made. Otherwise, the sites would shut down.
