Uses for old laptops

I've got 3 old laptops, an xp, vista, and windows 7.
All work fine.
Any good uses for them?
I have roku devices on most home TVs now.
I'm guessing a media server would be a use for one of them. Is Plex the way to go with this?

I use a Win 7 laptop I don't use for anything anymore except for Plex. Works great on my local network and reasonably so when I travel, as long as nobody else is using it, then it can bog down a bit. Am considering moving this to a small Chromebook or NUC.

I know I can use plex to watch videos stored on the pc, but can I watch streaming video from a website on the tvs? I have roku, so I can't cast a website from my ipad.

There is a cheap ($10ish) screen mirroring software that will allow your iPad (as well as MiraCast standard devices) to mirror to your Windows device if that's something you'd be interested in. On mobile so not going find the website now, but I can try to link if that's not enough info to help you find it yourself.

If you can't find an immediate use for the XP laptop, you could lend it to me until mid-May. I'm working on a concept for my ISDS elective's final project that uses outdated computer hardware for classroom insruction and could use it for my presentation.
PM me if interested. Thanks.

I've already got a laptop connected to one tv, but have 5 TVs in the house and want to know if there's a way to stream web video from 1 laptop to any of the TVs like the plex does with video stored on the laptop. Seems like plex has a few 'channels' I could do this with, but doesn't seem to be able to cast a regular browser page the same way.
I know you can do this with chromecast, but have rokus.

There is no inexpensive way to do this..
I use an old laptop that runs plex, plugged into the LAN, for media storage..I run the plex app on my XBone or Roku in different room and I get my show there..
The only way to "stream" the web to another TV, would be to buy a wireless video setup
