USB ports not working

I'm pretty sure its a problem inside the computer rather than the USB ports itself. Anytime I plug something into my laptop (windows 11) the ports do not work. It's been 2 months, and still no luck trying to fix it.
I've followed many guides and done pretty much everything the internet has told me to do yet nothing works.
Do you guys know of anything I can do before to attempt to get it to work before I bring it somewhere to fix it.

If you're able to get into the BIOS of the laptop, then you can make sure there isn't some weird setting for USB that needs to be checked.
Before I got too crazy, I'd try a live version of linux on the laptop. If it will boot into linux from a thumbdrive, then you know it's a windows/driver issue.
You could even try plugging in a mouse/keyboard into the USB port(s) and seeing if power is being delivered to the hardware. Do the lights come on?
There are a few other troublshooting steps I'd take before I just nuked windows and started over. Try booting into safe mode. Try downloading USB drivers for your model of laptop. Check device manager to see if there's anything weird going on there.

First, use a different cable. Start with physical issues first.
Second, updates to the motherboard chipset drivers can break things. If you updated your drivers, or have auto update turned on, it may have disabled the ports. I have this problem once or twice a year, somehow only on the front USB ports on a desktop. If you have a bunch of USB ports, there may be multiple USB controllers, and one set may have gotten driver updates, and the other controller may not have.
Hit Windows Key+X and open device manager. Scroll down to USB controllers are look to see if anything is disabled. While this has only happened to me with display drivers, Windows may automatically revert from the driver that is installed by your manufacturer to a Microsoft driver, which may impede functionality. Additionally, Windows may automatically disable the device after repeated driver problems.
