I know this is stupid but does any of the hotels on the vegas strip have fiber internet ?

Yes i know internet at a hotel will never be as good as fiber internet at home.

They all most likely have fiber coming into the building. However you are sharing that connection with everyone else in the hotel over wi-fi so don't expect fast internet with that many people sharing the bandwidth.

Vegas is not built to make "staying in your room", a fun option.

I work in telecommunications, and went to NAB. Stayed at the MGM and Bellagio for those trips. Internet was miserable-both in the hotel rooms and in the Convention Center. In room was WIFI only, and my Verizon MiFi was paltry. I don't remember if they offered a high-speed option. As was said, they don't think you're going to spend your time in a room, so they don't make it attractive to do so.

I don't plan in staying in the room expect to sleep and shower.

Just would like good internet when having to look for directions or next place to eat.

At least 5 or 10 Mbps.

I know you don't need that fast for that but it is still nice to have if your using multiple devices.

The hotel's ops are connected though 10G SONET rings through most of downtown and surrounding areas (mostly used for video). I'd imagine public internet is done separately though a public carrier.

Turned down an offer for a networking gig a while back.... <2 year contract wasn't worth relocating, but got a lot of the general specs on the area.
