Trouble with iMessage/text

Anyone having any trouble with this after the newest iPhone updates. My phone automatically updated without asking me and now I’m receiving texts and messages and not getting alerted
I’ll go back and check my texts and people have responded but I wasn’t aware
This happening to anyone else?

Did it/you somehow turn off notification in the individual messages? This happened on my dad’s phone, but I didn’t think much of it.
I haven’t noticed it on my iPhone 11 Pro.

No, notifications are still on
I’m thinking it has something to do with iCloud. Like the message is getting received then automatically somehow going to iCloud and not notifying the phone. Not sure how to fix that tho besides turning off iCloud messaging backup

The auto update can be changed
Go into general and then software update and deselect auto update
But I am having same issues with some text messages to non iPhone users. They show as not delivered but they did go thru

My icloud is off and it does it to me also

Same thing is happening here. If I don’t check, I will miss my messages.

Same here. I looked down at my phone that has been sitting on my desk in front of me all day and I had 17 unread messages. No notifications at all, not even pop ups. I can't find a fix, has anybody else had luck?
