Thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3?

I want a tracker, but I want one that looks more like a watch instead of a box like the fitbit ones. I have a galaxy phone and was thinking about picking this one up. Is this one good to get or is there another one that's cheaper or better?

I have an Apple Watch but kinda like the Google Fit app better. Anyways, rumor has it that Google will be making the Pixel Watch come October. That's still a ways off but the renderings are pretty slick looking.
I believe Samsung is coming out with the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Sport in the next 1-2 months too.

I gotta ask though, what phone do you use. It sucks but in 2021 it's what it is. Apple Watch is hands down the best with iphone. You can use others but the integration is just hard to beat. Walled garden and all.
Options open up a little more if you have android. And I'm an apple guy.

Don't go Apple Watch then (obviously). Again, apple watch and phone guy here but I like the Samsung watches. Don't forget Garmin (gotten pricey) but also Suunto watches.
Just throwing a ton of options out there as it's really personal preference. From what I remember from back in my Samsung S5 days, Samsung had an app that had random contests every month that always enticed me to get more steps. Stupid stuff like that pushes me but I realize that's just me. Might be pointless to you.
I'm really intrigued by the potential Google Pixel watch this year though. But like anything with Google, they could scrap the idea before they even sell 1.

One Plus is about to release theirs. It looks more like a watch.

I saw the oneplus one but it's gotten bad reviews, at least over at cnet. I haven't investigated much though. I'm always peeking over Apple's walled garden but Tim Cook keeps grabbing me back down.

How about the Galaxy Watch Active 2?

Not sure if you're in a rush but I'd wait and see if they release the GW Active 4 soon. Some rumors have said to have a beta blood glucose monitor built in and if so, that'd kick apple's arse. That's a tall order though as literally NOTHING on the market has a non-invasive blood glucose monitor. I believe every one of em requires at least 1 prick into the skin.

That rumor has been getting kicked down the street since at least 2018. You could argue that it means it's more likely to be true this time and smartwatches have certainly gained a lot of steam in the ensuing years, so an offering from Google is making more and more sense. but I wouldn't hold my breath. Although, I'm with you anxiously awaiting a confirmation.

I just got a galaxy watch 2 and while I like it, can't get more than 2 days on a charge. That surprised me.

I have a 3, works well, get all the similar info I get from the apple watch but the game changer is the bezel you can turn/twist to move through the different screens
