I am going to be tailgating on the Ole Miss Campus for the Bama game. Since it is being broadcast on CBS should I be able to get it on a digital antenna? I have youtube tv but anticipate not having enough signal to chromecast from my phone due to crowd size that day.

Yes, I am a little concerned about that too.

According to the FCC website, the station out of Columbus is "moderate" strength.

It looks like you're going to need a directional UHF antenna, pointed directly SE towards Columbus. Then make sure you do a channel scan, a lot of people forget that step.

The Columbus CBS WCBI tower is in the Woodland/Houston, MS area. I can get WCBI in Tupelo with a coat hanger. Pretty much any UHF type antenna should get you CBS.

I tailgated once at the Grove for Ole Miss LSU a few years ago. We tailgate for every LSU home games, but the grove is a bit different.
The biggest issue is the trees so its hard to get a satellite signal. A lot of people have a PVC extension for their satellite to get it above the tents and trees. They also make an app to locate where the satellites are to make sure its pointed where you need it.
Just FYI, pack a wagon or some other method to move your TV and other items. Parking is kind of a mess.

I’ve always just used the CBS Sports app.
