Cox is jacking my rates up so I figure its a good time to make the jump

For those that have At&T fiber, which speed did you go with?
1 Gig for $75/mo
500 Mbps for $65/mo

Gig, you will never get anywhere close to gig speeds, but it comes with unlimited bandwidth, and i go over 1tb pretty much every month.

1gig for sure. Mainly because I think that tier strips off the data cap of 1TB a month AND I think it gives you HBO Max for free (when you login with ATT credentials).

From where?

Also, how did you get rid of the ATT gateway? Do you have business class?

I have AT&T Fiber and I am using their gateway. I don't use their Wifi though. I have Ubiquiti wifi in my house so maybe that is the difference.

Wired or Wireless I get 950-980 all-day.

Doesn't DirectTV Stream still lock you in to long arse agreements?

If so, screw that. I much prefer Hulu, YouTube TV, Philo, Sling, FuboTV, etc... where I can switch every month if I so choose.

Nah, it's no contract, and they're the only streaming service with Bally regional sports.

I don't think there's a service agreement with directv steam

AT&T fiber here. No need to go more than 300/300 for $55/mo. Actual throughput will be 370/370Mbps.

All fiber plans have no data cap. At&t no longer provides HBO max with the 1Gbps plan.

Well that's obviously a good thing but damn they look pricey compared to the other options.

If you want to watch baseball without using some janky illegal stream, there's not really another option.

I went 300 for $55 and got the $200 gift card. Don’t do anything besides stream tv/music, general web browsing, and work. Using TP Link Deco X20 mesh wifi and it’s plenty of speed.

I think FuboTV offers the regional sports.

My renewal was up last week, they gave me the offer I had, and said I would continue with HBO max. No issues. They still advertise HBO max to new subscribers.

Correct. As long as you dont modify your service, you get to keep it.

Incorrect. They removed it on 6/5/22. You can find the official notice of who gets to keep it and when it was removed on the att website. It has been posted on this forum in the last couple weeks.

I will go ahead and post the link to att site: LINK /

quote:

Internet
If you purchased Internet 1000, 2000, or 5000 within these date ranges, you received access to HBO Max at no extra charge.

Service Speed Tier Date Range
AT&T Fiber Internet 1000 5/27/2021 to 6/5/2022
AT&T Fiber Internet 2000 9/20/2021 to 6/5/2022
AT&T Fiber Internet 5000 9/20/2021 to 6/5/2022

This promotion ended for AT&T Fiber on June 5, 2022. You must use your access to HBO Max to keep your eligibility for this promotion. If you don’t, your HBO Max promotion may be expired.

If you go and try to purchase fiber on the att.com website, you'll see that HBO max is not listed on 1Gbps+ anymore.
