So help us out. What are you trying to film? What kind of quality are you expecting? What are you trying to do?

If you're a newbie then shoot it on your phone and edit it on your phone. Post on youtube. That's good enough to start. Once you get into actual editing you'll have already abandoned that youtube page with 1 view a day.
I say that somewhat tongue in cheek, but also pretty much was my experience. I use a Sony A7S2, my phone, and a generic gopro type camera. I started using Blackmagic's Davinci Resolve but it was too much to edit with. I ended up using a free program called Shotcut to edit. But nothing is really easy when learning how the editing software works. You just have to keep watching video after video on how to do what you want to get done.
If you're wanting views then I suggest using the youtube app to do shorts. That's where they're throwing everyone right now.

I just want to get started in video.. posting YouTube's.
My plan is film myself reading WWII letters.. and then possibly cooking videos.
But on a side note, I am working on a trailer to help sell my screenplay plus a music video in the works. Someone else will shoot and edit those under my direction, Good Lord willing that is.

Get you a used cinema camera and a couple of cinema lenses, or get you a nice video camcorder, like the 4k Canon XF605.

I work with blackmagic cinema cameras at church. Have 3 that are broken at the moment. They're ok, but honestly the DJI Ronin 4D produces the best video of any of them. If I personally had church money to spend, then I'd get a Ronin. Their stabilization is out of this world. But I don't have 14k to drop into a fledgling Youtube channel.

Have you looked at eBay? Lots of cinema cameras and lenses as people move up they sell off their unused gear. You can find great outfits for less than two grand.
