Super-Ultra-Mega-Monster-Wide Monitor recs

I recently built a PC to run some video and photo editing along with the occasional After Effects creation. However, I kept my existing dual 22" monitors which have worked fine for what I'm doing but I'm looking to upgrade and I'm looking for recs.
I considered 4k monitors but I don't really do any 4k content to see a benefit there, especially for the price. Then I started looking at the ultra-wides that are out there and really like the idea of having a huge seamless workspace. I'm thinking of going with a 49" but saw there was a pretty wide variety of options and features. I'd want to keep it around $1k to get a good balance of performance to price. Anyone use anything they can recommend?

I just purchased the Samsung C49RG9 for $1,199. Mainly for productivity, with a little gaming. It's perfect for my needs. It comes with software that lets you customize "snapping zones" for the desktop. So I have one large zone in the center of the screen, with two smaller zones on each side for email and web browser.

I have the phillips 49" "5K" monitor which is the same as 2 27" QHD monitors. It's 70hz and meant mainly for productivity, though I game on it as well.
I think you can find it for $800-900 new on a deal.
I have this one, too.
I haven't needed the KVM function just yet, but I'm happy with the monitor so far.
It's big.
I do kind of miss my 34" 2160p, but I like no line more than I miss the minimally-noticeably-better resolution

We are upgrading to these in the office. only a few folks so far, but most love them. We have one guy who has the 34" from samsung and can say, unless you still want two monitors, to stick with the 49"

Its amazing how much a minor thing like combining two screens into one helps, but it does.

The Samsung Odyssey has more curvature so it's more enveloping.
