Kodi 17.2 is out now, and it fixes the bug. Other media players may still be vulnerable. I'm surprised this sort of thing hasn't happened before now. The good news is, it appears the CheckPoint guys discovered it, and it wasn't in the wild. At least I haven't found anything to make me believe otherwise.

Is there a link with a video or step by step guide to updating/changing builds?

Bump because this thread didn't get much traction and good chunk of the M/TV board probably needs to see it. Time to update your Kodi.

I updated to 17.2 with firestick using the downloader app from firestick. All my addons remained with no problems. how to update video
If you have the downloader app, jump to about the 2:30 mark.

Not sure if this is related but zen and exodus aren't working worth a crap tonight. Less streams available and the ones that are are crap.

Just came here to see if anyone else was having issues.

Yep. Thought it was just me. All the Exodus streams last night sucked. I had to give up and put on Netflix.

Does it use Trakt?
ETA: Nevermind I forgot that this isn't an addon and that it adds sources to addons. I'll check it out for 15 days and see how well it works.
