What is a good laptop for college kid. Not gonna say price isn't a factor cause it is, but not looking for cheapass junk. Something that will have MS office and all the other things needed.
Thanks in advance

Office probably comes with their tuition, don't buy 2 copies.

Any M chip Mac laptop, with Microsoft office for Mac.

We won't know what's needed unless you tell us what field your student is entering.

Macbook air. Any decent university gives the student access to MS office.

Any basic ones these days will work unless he’s using it for gaming.
He’s just gonna use it to surf for porn anyways lol.

To answer a few questions here at once, Generic CC no drive as what he wants to do, he just needs it to write some papers and do the on line math homework. No gaming as that is covered with what we have around the house.
The high school switched between mac and pc during his 4 years so he doesn't care.
I appreciate the answers
thanks

Gotcha, if it's just a generic need for a laptop then I would suggest an M1 MacBook Air. You can get them for under $1000, they're plenty fast, very light, have excellent battery life, and make zero noise, all of which is great for classroom use.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it
