Spotify and Frequently Repeating Songs

someone doesn't understand the streaming music business model. these frickers have algorithms that play the shite they have the best deal on constantly. 'new music' is a laugh.

you can force spotify to play new music by selecting an actual album to play but they don't do that for random streaming. too expensive. instead you get the same shite over and over and over and over and over..

you get the point.

i have a modest jazz collection (500 albums) and if i put my collection on random play i hear NEW shite EVERY SINGLE TIME. by contrast when i select a jazz station on a streaming service..within 30 minutes i hear a repeat..within an hour and i'm jumping to change the station because its the same shite over and over and over and over..


same for any music genre. wash, lather, repeat.

i have a full 50,000 songs in my personal google music collection and i swear its like i have more music than all the streaming service combined when I'm randomly playing music from it.
