Spoofed phone calls.

I’ve gotten 6 phone calls today where they’ve spoofed my number.Caller ID shows my name and phone number.Get recording that claims call is from Microsoft,someone supposedly hacked my computer.Message instructs me to dial 1 to talk to representative.I just hang up,I wonder what would happen if I dialed 1 as instructed.
For a while I was getting calls claiming to be from IRS and they were coming to arrest me.
Crazy thing is the recording of this woman with ominous voice today is same one that called about IRS.You would think they would get a different woman with different voice.
About time to get rid of landline.

I was discussing the same with my wife yesterday. Our landline only gets calls from spammers. All our family and friends call us on our cell phones. Why even have a landline? Faxing is all but obsolete.

Messed with him for about twenty min (live on Ho Lee Fuk drive, born 12/15/1821, etc). Then I broke the news to him, and he got hostile - frick you, get lost, frick your sister - felt like even the insults were coming from a script
. I asked how many if them in that call center, he said 105. Asked his success rate, he didn't answer.

Life has been good since I installed a robo call blocker/screener on my home phone.
Yesterday my wife scrolled through the list and commented we had called ourselves quite a few times and we had a laugh.
