My husband gave to an “Amazon rep”, all of his personal info, SSN, and accepted an installation of Zoho Unattended Access to our old desktop. On the pc was banking info to our personal accounts, bro’s 2 trust funds, deceased parents’ estate, etc. We closed checking accounts and major credit card accounts, but the modem was left on for several hours. Today a tech removed all of our files and data, saved to an external hard drive, and did a factory install. When he was finished, I noticed an unfamiliar icon- Anydesk- another remote access program on my screen, but it was not yet installed. I have never heard of Anydesk; it just appeared upon reinstall. The tech doesn’t know what to do. Please advise again. Sorry to be such a pest.

Anydesk is legit but it's used for remote desktop admin. The tech didn't completely format and repartition the drive?

I can’t help but even if a real Amazon rep called me, at what point am I giving them a SSN over the phone?

Anydesk is an executable and doesn't actually install. It's for remote desktop access.
