Biggest thing is the 900 has a full array backlight which is huge for HDR/Dolby Vision

900 has HDMI 2.1 update.

I'm trying to wait on the X950H in 49" to see if it will come down (it's been 950-999 for a while though 
)....I'd love to go bigger but I'm constrained by space. That particular 49" TV would fit perfect in my space.
It's hard to pay 1000 for a 49" TV when I see the prices of all the other bigger sets.

The 950 doesn’t have HDMI 2.1 either. Although it’s an upgrade.

Yea I get that but I don't think you can get the 900 in that 49 in screen size.
