SIAP
My 4 year old Sony Bravia turns itself on at seemingly random times during the day/night. I changed as many of the settings that made sense to. Consulted the interweb to not avail. Even unplugged the internet cable thinking that may somehow be waking it up.
Nothing....
Thoughts O\oh wise ones of the Tech Board on my next steps?

Unplug the tv and wait 60 seconds then plug back in. If that doesn't work turn off your synch settings, check the timer, power saving settings. That doesn't work, do a factory reset. Write down all your setting before you do that.

I had a similar issue with my LG TV. If you have an Amazon fire TV stick, try taking the batteries out of it.

This might sound stupid but sometimes when the batteries are dying in the remote it’ll make the TV do some strange things

You got anything like a Chromecast connected to it?

If you cant figure it out...a work around could be just plug it in to a smart plug..and turn the plug on/of until you figure it out or get a new tv

Which model? There’s a huge difference between the Walmart models and the XBRs.
