jack you really need to use Google Photo and Google
Google Mail syncs all mail, calendar and contacts and Google Photo syncs all your photos.

Yeah but don’t you lose quality when saved via google? I pay .99 for Apple cloud storage now and have plenty of space.

You do but for me the quality is fine and can print if need be.
As far as everything else, I have google and when add I my account to a new phone it sucks it all down.

It's not generic, it's just not locked to a network. The new phones work on pretty much any network worldwide. An unlocked phone is preferable as you are free to switch networks or sell the phone to anyone on the planet.

iCloud handles my contacts.
All my photos upload to Google Photos.
Not worried about texts, but they're all on my Mac if I ever need to reference them.

Anybody else been checking the YouTube reviews testing faceID? Appears to work even better and quicker than I expected it to at launch. Can’t wait to get it now

I have a 7 with 128gb and I’m considering an 8 or 10/x just to get the 256gb mem.

The Verge said it worked great indoors but was spotty in bright settings like outside in full sunlight and indoors under bright fluorescent lights. I don’t know how easy something like that would be to fix if daylight blinds the sensors (the Verge’s guess at the problem). It seems like an inconceivable oversight in testing but the way tech companies release products these days I can see it being real. Is SunGate about to be a thing?

Been using Android since the beginning, ordered the X and it's getting here soon 
How will I get all my contacts over, can I sign in with Google like I do normally and everything pops up?
What cases are you guys looking at? I have been using VRS for my Note Edge and now Note 8 and they're really nice. They have some for the X as well <$30.
I have used an iPhone before and there were things I liked for sure. One of the things I remember not liking is when you start to dial someone's name on Android it shows people's names. On the iPhone it didn't do that and just dialed the #s you were entering. Is there a way to make that happen?
If I like the X like I think I will what's the best place to sell a brand new Note 8? I got a free 128gb sd card and a free wireless charge, I wonder if the charger will work for the iPhone?
