We pay $49 a month for 50 Mps, You really won't need faster speeds than that anyway unless you're trying to share bandwidth with a few neighbors.
I'd wager there isn't a person here than can utilize 100 Mbps at home unless you're running a high traffic web site or doing something silly like sharing PLEX media online.

Just typed my address in Metairie and looks like I can get a fiber package for $70. $50 for 100 mb.

Whelp never mind...was looking at the wrong thing.
Can get the Internet 50/100/1000 plans but assuming those are DSL and not fiber.
Guess I'll stick with my shitty Cox service

I think u-verse only goes is 75mb. 100 and 1gb have to be fiber.

Ya I signed up with Cox for the $60 50mb plan and since then they raised my speed to 100mb and then a few months later again to 150mb without raising my price. They do charge extra if you use over 1tb in a month and I am guessing they are giving faster speeds hoping people go over.

No but I am in Scottsdale Arizona and signed up for the 50mbs two years ago and I think they charge based at least partly on location. Since then they sent me emails twice letting my know my speed is going up at no cost so I am not complaining!

Every time I’ve dealt with Cox I’ve gotten fcked. Didn’t use for several years, finally gave them a chance with the 100. Worked fine for two weeks but now it’s dogshit.
It loads more than it actually plays on the tv.
