my bill had got up to $135, i had enough. Finally canceled and added dish. Got all of the top 200 channels, hbo free for a year, cinemax, showtime, starz free for 3 months. Guaranteed price of $75 month for 2 years no change! Screw dtv and their price jumps every few months.

DTV tried to charge me a $320 early termination fee due to the house I was renting flooding and us being forced to move. Fought those bastards all the way to the top and finally got the charge waived, but not until after having to pay for 2 months of service for a house with no electricity.
Those bastards can burn in hell

Yall sent that out because the other pos i had wouldnt work! Finally got them to waive it after bitching. Screw those bastards

DirecTV was the best thing going for a long time, then AT&T bought them. They promised they wouldn't change anything.

yea the guy who did my dish install used to work for dtv... he said soon as at&t bought them it went to shite and was even terrible to work for so he left.

DirecTV was a semi-decent option before AT&T bought them.
I don't think i've ever seen a company go from mediocre service with a solid product to completely shite-tastic as the result of an acquisition as quickly as that.
The hardware got slow and laggy on the day that the "An AT&T Company" showed up on the screensaver and the service spiraled downhill like someone greased the slope.

You're right. I was with them for 14 years and dropped them 2 months ago. I also used to pay ATT $500 month combined for home phone, cells and Internet. Now I pay ATT $0. They're so big they don't even care anymore so I decided to never give them another dollar of mine.

It's why i'm not with them anymore.
was a customer for 12 years. Told them the reason i had always stayed with them was b/c of the great customer service and i hoped that wasn't going to change with AT&T taking over since they have the worst customer service in this country. They said nothing will change. I lasted about a year with them after that. I was willing to pay a little more with DTV in the past instead of constantly switching cable providers to get cheaper prices b/c of how they treated me over the years.
frick AT&shite.
I just got off their cell phone service yesterday as well.
I used to have cable, internet, and cell service with them at some point in time. Internet ended 3 years ago b/c of price changes all the time and unreliable internet. Cable ended with DTV a year ago b/c they lied to me about what they were giving me, then started overcharging me and were dick heads about it all. Cell service ended yestereday b/c frick AT&shite. I have not one positive thing to say about any aspect of any of them, and i'm happy to no longer have to deal with those arse hats ever again.

I dropped Directv this morning as well. I had them for a long arse time. I would only call them every 3 or 4 years to bitch about the rates and then they would reduce it. I called them 2 weeks ago and they would not budge. I switched to PlayStation vue. When I called to cancel only then would they reduce my monthly bill. Like all of you said when AT&T bought them they turned to shite. Customer Service and billing got all kinds of screwed up. I went from $108 with Directv to $35 with Vue.

Had them for many years before switching to DISH. Have never regretted it a second. Everything about DISH better for me especially, the hardware. I've had every new generation of the Hopper system and it simply has no peer in a receiver.

Eatels new costumer deal only last so long though..and they don't budge either when calling to complain afterwards..I don't mind paying for their service though..top notch..
