Say what you want about AT&T

but 3 years in a row i got my Internet 1000 bill down to 50 bucks a month for the next 12 months. My 20 dollar credit was ending this month so i called and told them that i had a competing offer from comcast. Never really ever considered them
and they gave me another 20 dollar credit a month for the next 12 months. That's close to an extra 250 dollars saved for the year and over 700 in 3 years. Not much love for AT&T on this board but they have been good to me

I was with AT&T wireless for years and never had a problem with them. When I from Cox cable to Uverse, I began to hate AT&T. I had to change wireless plans for life reasons and signed up for Cricket, which is just the discount brand of AT&T wireless.. 100% satisfied, $45/month for unlimited phone, 8 gigs data (I don’t even come close to using that much) and it hasn’t gone up a dime in 5 years.
I have Comcast for Internet and it’s ok. Not great, not terrible enough to switch.

I’m about to give them a call now
My $20 discount for 1000 MBPS is up in 19 days
ETA - I just got it extended another 12 months. $500 in savings for 2 years

What's the phone number?

Not sure of the number but your going to have the retention dept give you a call. I used the live chat from at&T then they said the retention dept would call me within the hour. They called and gave me the credit again. I've been with them for 5 years so that helped my case. If you have had service for only a year not sure but worth a shot. Good Luck!

Just call customer support
Do the whole song and dance.. they won’t be able to help. The then ask for Customer Retention / Loyalty
It took me 15 minutes

I switched to att fiber in Jan , so I’m good until 2022. It’s good to hear that you can go through the motions to get the bill down just like I did with Cox.
I haven’t found great customer service with any of the major ISP (home or residential) , but man cox took a big down turn last year.
**Eatel support is fine , unfortunately they don’t cover a large area so they are the exception.

They ruined directv
They realized it and sold it off. The new Directv deal will be closed this summer and although AT&T will be a majority owner, they are leaving them alone to do what they do well.
I’ve seen the new branding, commercials, etc. They even hired the old ad agency that did the edgy “don’t end up in a ditch” commercials.
They plan to have their own US call centers and customer service teams
Can’t say too much more but I work in the biz and the DTV people are very excited to be going back to their roots

My Fiber will renew in August, I have no doubt I will be able to call and get the $50 continued. Even though I really do not have another option for internet.

Thank you for the opportunity.
ATT is the worst company in the history of companies.

Just had my Uverse monthly bill cut by 50% by threatening to leave.

I’ve called them twice in the last 3 years. Once was when I bought a house and moved service. I didn’t even ask for a discount, just to move service. The guy on the phone told me he could get me a better deal than i had at the time. Boom, saved $70 on phone, internet and tv. I just switched to ATT TV from UVerse and again, i didn’t even ask, extended my internet discount that was up in June. I have had an overall positive experience with ATT for the last 3 years.

I was going to make a thread but I'm glad I searched for ATT.
So I'm moving into my new house and they laid att fiber all through it. They offer fiber for 60$ a month and then 10$ to use their modem. So 70$ total.
I cannot find anything where I can buy my own equipment so I don't have to rent theirs. Lot of the stuff I see on Amazon specifically says it's not compatible.. do I have to use their stuff? I would rather shell out 200$ today instead of 10$ chipping away monthly for the next 15 years

They wouldn't drop from $70 a month

You have to use their gateway. You can put your own router behind it.

well I ordered it yesterday afternoon and got it set up for Saturday install - just got a call from them this morning saying they had a fiber issue at the hub and it was going to be down for a few weeks.
that's not good, might have to cancel with them and go with another provider. Internet is an absolute must, no way around it.

HBOMax minus HBO's woke internal programming is great.
