That sucks, Note is what keeps me on Android. Note 20 Ultra may be my phone for a while now I normally upgrade every year.

Korean business daily Aju News reports that Samsung intends to add the Galaxy Note’s S-Pen stylus to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Furthermore, the outlet claims that the Z Fold 3 will offer a slot for the S-Pen and that the foldable will launch in June 2021.
It’s claimed that the Galaxy Note series will therefore be discontinued due to the S-Pen arriving on the aforementioned products. It wouldn’t be a surprising turn of events if confirmed, but it would still mark the end of an era. Samsung’s Note series first launched in 2011, popularizing the large screen smartphone and being a fixture in the Korean brand’s portfolio since then.

I read here months ago that this would happen, but that one of the bigger s models would have a pen. Hopefully that is the case (eta: shite, it's literally in the OP
)
My progression has been s3, s5, note 5,note 8,note,note 10. Didn't get the last one.

Yep, Fold 3 will also have pen support.

Yeah but I'm not paying 2k for a phone, I think this will be a bad move for Samsung. Don't want a phone either if the pen don't go inside, so the S series supporting S pen is useless to me if I gotta keep track of an accessory, I can see me losing that the first day lol.

I ended up getting my Fold 2 for $1399, not so bad and worth it for how insane the device is.
I do not believe the S series will have the slot holder for it, so yeah, meh.

That sucks. I'm not a fan of the fold series either.
Basically an s21 will pretty much be a "note".

As a Fold 2 owner, I can say the unreal reviews and praise the device gets is warranted. It is the future, and it is incredible in just about every way.
That's the bad part, it ruins old school style phones. You can't go back or ever look at them the same again.

Its size had me write it off right off the bat so I never really looked at the reviews. (remember looking at the reviews for the first 1 a couple of years ago though).
Maybe time to watch some video.

I love my notes. Nothing better than not having to carry a pen a paper to meetings/proposal walkthroughs and I have no use for a "foldable" thick phone.
Guess I'll hold onto this 20 ultra as long as I can.

Yeah it got maybe the best reviews of a phone in quite some time. But it's truly warranted.
I'll never go back from the Fold to a regular phone again but luckily this is the future and where we're all going especially when Apple has theirs ready in ~2 years. The tablet inside is just too awesome, 120Hz of Samsung display at its finest. Rarely use the front screen other than quick texts and what not but glad it's there for quick usage like a regular phone.
Solid 2 week learning curve and getting used to it. It's so radically different to use at first.

The note 5 was my favorite phone of all times.
I had it from release year 2015 until I got the S10 (non-note) last year. 4 years. Longest I've ever keep a phone. I would get another one . It was the perfect size IMO. A note 5 frame with current hardware would be tits!
Currently thinking about switching to IPhone when their next OS update has bugs fixed. It is my understanding the new OS will allow for widgets, split screen and other Android customization features that have keep me on Android.

I'll be considering all options next year when I am able to upgrade. At worst I'll just keep this Note 20 Ultra I am very pleased with it. The fold 3 will be interesting if they can price it more competitive I'll take a serious look. I'm too invested in android to swap to apple and I really do not like the apple software. But i will look at all options
