Run Apple Copland in your browser

Apple’s planned post-System 7 OS upgrade was a project called Copland inside of Apple. It was intended to bring classic Mac OS up to date with modern standards (memory management and protection, multi-threading, a true microkernel, etc). After bringing in Ellen Hancock from IBM to get the wayward program on track , she finally decided that Copland was unworkable and recommended buying another OS as a wholesale replacement for classic Mac OS. This is where Apple buys NeXT and Steve Jobs comes back (who then immediately starts working to push Hancock Out of Apple: she didn’t favor NeXTstep as a replacement).
A developer has gotten his hands on a late build of Copland, and now you can run it in your browser. It mostly looks and feels like Classic, but there are a few differences. Its an interesting visit to what might have been.
Run the in-browser VM here: LINK
