Seriously, follow a twitch stream like this

I went there - had seen this suggested elsewhere recently but hadn't tried it. I got the alarm about an hour later and it kinda freaked me out b/c I had no idea what the noise was, lol. Even though it didn't take long, probably 10 seconds total, when I checked the reported link it was unavailable, not too surprisingly. At least I know what the alarm sounds like now!

I suggest trying Newegg Shuffle too. I wanted to upgrade to a 30xx series card but most of them won't fit in my Meshify-C case with a front rad, so after a week of losing Newegg Shuffles and never being able to click a link on those Twitch streams in time, I bought an EVGA Hybrid AIO 3080 Ti on eBay at scalper prices, and kept entering Newegg Shuffles anyway, like 3 days later I won a spot to buy a Gigabyte 3080 Ti, which I then turned around and sold on eBay to make (most of) my loss back.

Be careful though, some of the bundle deals they're forcing in the Shuffles suck and you might take a big loss trying to resell them.

Yeah I've been trying the Shuffle lately. Very selective - only 3080, or 3080 + PSU. (I like having a spare PSU around and don't right now.) Agreed, some of the bundles are horrible.

Got in the EVGA 3080ti XC3 queue fairly early this morning. With my elite member discount and associate code I can get it for just around $1k. Optimally I'd rather a non-ti 3080 at MSRP but you take what you can get in this market. I was in the Best Buy Please Wait queue last week but that's as close as I got. I'll be doing heavy 4k gaming on it so it's whatever.

Overall with ETH's transition to PoS (~Q1 2022) and upcoming EIP-1559 (July 2021), I think we'll see continued drop in GPU secondhand prices, eventually causing scalpers to move to a different product and the market being flooded with used mining GPU's. Combined with NVIDIA's new LHR versions, I feel like we should see some MSRP cards this fall. Just my two cents.

I got lucky and got two 3090s and two 3080s when they were easier to get before new years. Just got my first EVGA notifier last week for another 3080. 3090s were super easy to get there for awhile. Got a few more that should come due soon in EVGA queues, but they changed some of that production to the non mining cards. Already have friends lining up for those.
