Ring issue

Had a ring doorbell. Worked fine. Flooded and renovated so said screw I’ll update the doorbell as well. Get it in, connect it, works for a second…enough to catch a clip of me installing. Can’t get it to work again. Ring says to get bigger transformer or whatever and send me a new one. Same issue with this one. I can touch the connectors of the wires and get ding dong but nothing when i put onto ring doorbell. Any thoughts?

The ring doorbell pro. No I didn’t but I can touch the wires together and get sound like someone rang the doorbell

Nevermind. The Ring Pro has no battery. The text left for posterity. If it were me, I'd take it back and get the non-pro for less $$ with a backup battery....
Can you manually charge the battery and/or check the battery status of the device via the App?
During our remodel, we had to cut power to the doorbell transformer for a couple of weeks. I had to charger the battery every few day, but it still worked. It had to ring thru our alexa devices or the app as we had no physical doorbell during that time.
The reason I'm asking is, a new transformer from Ring is fine and good, but it may or may not be the issue. Take the battery our of the doorbell, charge it overnight and see what happens the next day. The ring doesn't need a physical doorbell transformer/chime to work.
