Got my Apple TV setup and you would seriously never know that I'm streaming live TV. It shits on the Fire stick in terms of interface and the overall speed of everything. The remote is really nice.
On my fire stick, watching live DTV Now is impossible with constant buffering and errors (On-Demand works perfectly). I think I will truly end up having this for at least 3 months to make sure I got this for 'free'.
I do have to say that downloading iTunes and creating the Apple ID was annoying af. Why must I download iTunes to go along with the Apple ID I already created? Oh wait.. it's Apple.

I've had PS Vue for a while on Fire TV and a Roku Stick. Both buffer frequently, even hard wired. The stick is particularly shitty.
Just signed up for DTVNow and I like what I see so far. Zero buffering issues using Wifi. Also more channels for the same $35/month. Looking forward to receiving my free Apple TV.

You jinxed me. I never had any issues with buffering until last night. Hope DTV gets that corrected. It was a real pain in the arse.

Wifi FireTV in the living room and new Stick in the bedroom. Both had the issue so definitely the service last night.

I can't stream movies at night. Keep getting a QP15002 error. Live TV works tho.

Sorry if this question has been answered a bunch, but with either DTV Now or PS Vue, can you use your credentials to log in to on demand apps? Mostly asking for Watch espn and HBOGO. Thanks in advance..

Both services allow this. As of right now, PS Vue allows you to login to more apps. However, both will allow Watch ESPN. HBOGO is super cheap with DTV Now. At least it was, not sure if the price has gone up since the end of the year.

Hold up. So if you sign up for DTv Now, you can use DTv Go as well?

What is DTV Go? I thought we were talking about stand alone apps like NBC and History and WatchESPN etc.

Sorry. I am a tard. I was thinking about HBO Go.

Canceled my subscription to DirecTVNow and I'm sticking with PSVue. The picture quality seems to be pretty comparable for both, but DTVnow not having DVR, the guide freezing when I click on it, the guide showing "College Basketball" instead of showing which teams are actually playing, and the long delay in switching between channels lately are reasons why I canceled DTVnow. I understand Vue had their problems when they first started too, but I'm not trying to wait for all of the DTV problems to get fixed when there is already a suitable replacement with Vue. Not having DVR is a real negative for me, because I like to record sporting events if I'll be watching 30 minutes after the initial start of the game.
PlaystationVue also added WAFB(local CBS) recently, so they are the first local station to be picked up by Vue or DTVnow in my area.

I'm probably sticking with DirecTVNow for atleast a few more months. With Kodi and OTA, it's good enough for the amount that I use it, and I don't want to lose the intro pricing. Freezing/buffering has been much improved for me over the last couple of weeks.

Have Vue and the slowness of using the guide, etc. has really been starting to get to me. Cant make the switch to DirectTV until it gets DVR although the DVR works pretty slow for me for Vue already
I am only running Vue through my Sony Smart TV or my Amazon Firestick though, whichever one is annoying me least at the time. Is the FireTV a significant upgrade in speed of just navigating the guide, etc.? May have to upgrade as my smart TV is starting to become slower.

Absolutely

I can't compare the Firestick to the FireTV, but the FireTV is way better than PS Vue on my Roku 3. In general I'd say it's pretty snappy on the Fire TV.

Going to have to try that out. It is lagging too much whenever I try to change the channels. First world problems, I know but I am an impatient person.
I have been tempted to go back to the old life of paying too much for cable and having an simpler process of watching TV but I will hold on strong for now.

What do yall do for your NBC/CBS/Fox shows? (I'm assuming you get the channels but they arent "local" unless you use the antennae?) Pardon my ignorance on the subject.
