Thinking of cutting the cord on Dish. Paying $100 plus per month for something I rarely watch unless a football game is on is ridiculous. I'd like to switch to something more practical. Looking for advice. How does this work with multiple TVs in the house?

Whats your living situation?

Married?
Kids?
What kind of TV do you prefer?
DVR a big deal?

Engaged, no kids just us. The only reason I'm worried about switching is because I do really like DVR. I'm sure there are ways around this, but I'm not very tech savvy lol

ETA: I have a smart TV in the living room, but just a regular flat screen in the bedroom. Will that be a problem?

You should explore Playstation vue.

Would you be against spending $100 on a Fire TV Set-top box? You can install KODI (if you haven't heard of it, look it it) and get access to free movies and tv shows. Playstation Vue is also on it.

Do you own a PS4?

The only thing we have is Dish and Netflix (which we watch the majority of the time). Like I said I am very new to all this stuff, the fire TV box is required to get Sling? I don't have a PS4 but I'm open to getting one if it makes things easier. Thanks for any info!

To get Sling TV, you need either an XBOX or a ROKU Box or Stick, Fire TV Box or stick, or another set-top box. If you're making the complete switch, I would go with the boxes. They are more, but run better.

You don't need a PS4 for Playstation Vue. You can get it on a Fire TV or ROKU (Highly highly highly recommend a Fire TV).

I have Coax Cable and pay over 200/month. I am also interested in making a change. A buddy of mine told me he has sling TV and uses Roku, and gets all the sports channels, popular tv channels, and even HBO and shows like that. I am looking into it now, and about to go through the 30 page topic that is posted below in this thread.

I have a wife, and 3 kids that only watch Netflix. I have a PS4. Would sling TV support Netflix, and would the PS4 work, or would I need Roku?

TIA

PS4 in the living room and get PS Vue.

Buy fire Sticks for the kids to watch netflix on other TVs. Maybe get a fire TV for your bed room?

PS4 has Netflix and Playstation Vue
Fire TV has Netflix and Playstation Vue
Fire Stick has Netlix and Playstation Vue

Playstation Vue doesn't have Lifetime, A&E, or History Channel.

But it does have: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPN U, SEC Network, NFL Network, Golf Channel, HBO. It also has an unlimited DVR that lasts up to 28 days.

ok, I'm looking into the fire TV box w/ antenna. Get one for the living room and one for the bedroom? How are the sports channels with fire tv?

Great. The Fire Box is something you should definitely get. You have to decide between Sling TV and Playstation Vue

Shoot, I just noticed something in the big thread about not being able to stream Sling on 2 TVs at one time. What's my way around that?

Eh..well that's been changed now. I am not explaining that because retarded. You'll have to go on their site for that one.

I bought an antenna, mounted it to my old satellite. I have Sling on FireTV and Stick, with TVMC/KODI. I can't watch all I have.
