I'm running YouTube wipe programs now. I think I may have a seizure.

I edited my comment above, but here it is again on how to find the built in scroll protection on your tv. Hopefully that would work.

BTW, I have a Samsung Plasma and it has a burn in protection mode. You might need to search your menu, but I think it's called Scrolling. Here is a LINK that shows one way to find it (yours might not be the same).

plasma burn in doesn't really happen anymore to my understanding. I miss plasma

you may have aged the pixels at a different rate (worst case) or you have image retention.

Might I suggest (gasp!) an A/V receiver? You can still run it in stereo mode because I know you prefer that. Then you can do all your video and digital audio switching through the receiver.

A receiver, ouch. I don't think I could abandon my principles that much.

I know. It would handle the input switching you need. Unless you can source a legacy DVDO iScan somewhere which just does video switching and scaling. I use a VP50 in my theater and the day it dies will be a sad day indeed.

There should be a scroll function that you can run that will wipe away the images. Also, leaving the tv on with the black and white static showing has helped. I've had my Samsung plasma since 2009 and will go nuts if someone leaves something static on for any extended time.

Hope this helps

see if your TV has an anti-burn feature. My Samsung has one that works.

They should've put that feature on their cell phones and washing machines.
