A few years ago I tried an OtterBox Resurgence case for my iPhone. The Resurgence was a case with a battery in it that charges your phone when the phone’s battery is getting low. The first such case I remember is the Mophie.

Since then the Resurgence isn’t made anymore. I remember mine both lasted about a year. I didn’t know at the time if that was good or bad. Since then I’ve tried a PowerBear and a Trianium case purchased through Amazon. The PowerBears I’ve had last apx 6 mos, and the Trianium lasted no more than 3 mos.

Strangely I find no real reputable manufacturers of battery pack cases. Apple made one for a short time, but discontinued it. Mophie still makes one, but it is poorly rated. There are many made overseas (China?) you can find on Amazon, but I’m hesitant to drop another $30 on a crappy case.

Do any of you have experience with these type cases? Any recommendations? I’ve become reliant on these, and I’d like to find one that lasts. Help!

I think the battery cases for iPhone have fallen out of favor. I've seen less and less in brick and mortar stores. Amazon will be your best bet for reviews and selection.

Doesnt apple make their own battery case? Try that one.

They did but not any longer. You can still find one for the iPhone 7 on Amazon, but not for the 7 plus.

I am going to take my chances with a Mophie and go from there.
